Midwest Interscholastic Sailing Association Leukemia Cup Regatta

MISSA Tier Three Team Regatta

Saturday, May 20th

Crescent Sail Yacht Club

276 Lakeshore Drive, Grosse Pointe Farms, MI 48236

2016 Marked the first participation by MISSA in the Annual Lower Lake Saint Clair Leukemia and Lymphoma Regatta.  Over 100 High School Sailors showed their love of sailing while helping raise funds for a fabulous cause.  These young Sailors brought out the best of School Athletics and made local news for their involvement and contribution to the community.

The Lower Lake St. Clair Leukemia Cup Regatta is one of over 45 Regattas across the United States.  These regattas to date have raised over $50 Million towards life-saving cancer research. Please visit the National Leukemia Cup Regatta webpage

Thank your for your participation in 2017. It was a great success! Our goal for 2018 is to continue to grow this event, increase participation, and yet maintain the “fun factor” with excellent racing. As with prior years, 100% of the entrance fee goes directly to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

NEW this year, each participating High School was set up by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society with a “School” fund raising page.  This allowed an expansion of the competition found on the race course into the school.  Now even the non-sailor students can participate supporting their School and Sailing Team. We are looking forward to continuing this next year!
