On the Water

Because spending time on the water is why we’re here.

CRUISING

It's not a race!

Some would argue that when there is more than one boat on the water, a race is underway,  While racing is a strong element of our club, it’s not the only thing.  We offer a variety of amenities to help the cruisers who are looking for a fun, relaxing time on the water including lunch kits, meals to go, and other amenities to help you maximize your time on the water.

RACING

Race Programs

The GLYC has encourage the sport of competitive sailing since its founding in 1952. The club has a strong race management team with volunteer dedication provided by our members. Our race program includes a full complement of resources, such as committee boats, race management teams, and Sonars for member use. We encourage, promote, and foster sailboat racing for all ages.

SOCIAL EVENTS

We like to have fun

The club offers a variety of social events throughout the year including weekend cruising rendezvous to destinations around southeastern Michigan and Ontario.
